A little bit about me

My name is Ben Johnson and I work in Nottingham as a Personal trainer.  I have been a part of coaching within various sports for over 10 years. Coaching has always been something that I have loved, helping people achieve their goals is everything to me!

 Being a person to fixate on perfection within my own training and goals even though that’s not always attainable I believe has given me the drive to become the man I am today not only with personal training but also everyday life.

My view on training is simply "Let's get it done"

My Training style

I love to have a laugh with all my clients but I am very serious about training so you can always catch me breaking everything down and talking through different key aspects. I believe we are in this together, so you will hear a lot of "We" even though I get told a lot it's not we lifting it..

My Training history

I started off going to the gym with the intent to "look good" so I followed all the bodybuilding greats and got myself into following various bodybuilding programs and tried various training splits. Very quickly I started to learn what worked and what didn't, so I starting designing my own programs. After a good deal of trial and error, I achieved my personal goals. But even then I wasn't satisfied I had seen the big guys in the gym moving huge amounts of weight and used to think bloody hell I wish I could do that. So I set new goals with the intention to still look good but also get stronger. I competed in my first IPF competition in 2018 in which I came second in the 83kg weight class weighing 77.6kg. My current personal bests: 180kg squat 135kg Bench 190kg Deadlift. Going for a big 2019!
