When I had my first started with Ben I thought I would just need a few hours to master the equipment at the gym and then manage on my own. 
From the start Ben was always 100% focussed on me as his client and listened to my concerns, questions and ideas. He never gives me an easy way out - always keen to get me to adopt the best route through to a better body. 
Over time he taught me the importance of correct form and introduced me to a very wide range of exercises to help all aspects of my fitness. From being a complete novice I am now doing squats, deadlifts and bench press and feel confident in the free weights section of the gym. 

Ben has a wealth of knowledge and the ideas and imagination to adapt to different clients’ needs.
I can’t thank Ben enough for the help he gives me in striving towards my goals. 
His sense of humour and fashion sense need a lot of work but then nobody’s perfect.

I was delighted when I won three FREE sessions with Ben, even though I've been been weight training for over 6 years, I believe you never stop learning and was excited to see how he could improve my training. 
Ben assessed my squat, deadlift and bench making note of my max weights, and gave me key points on weightlifting techniques to get the most out of the lifts and feel it in my muscles. I decided to try his online coaching and in less than two months I'm smashing my PB's and my strengths increasing week after week. I'm feeling stronger, motivated and I've regained my love for training. 
With his online coaching programme I don't have to think about what I'm going to do in the gym, it's takes the stress out of training for me. Ben updates my programme, which I access on an app, each week with my weights and reps. All I have to do is log my progress, it's a fantastic system. 
Ben has great coaching skills, experience, along side being calm, positive and motivating...everything you want from a PT. I would highly recommend Ben to anyone with or without weight training experience.

I’ve tried lots of different types of exercise but hadn’t thought about focusing on strength until I read an article about its benefits. I found the prospect of lifting daunting by myself so I started training with Ben after a friend recommended him to me as a knowledgeable PT who gets results.

 

And the results have been pretty great.

I’m a lot stronger now and the training has also boosted my confidence, both in and out of the gym. It’s also helped my posture and the way I carry myself, which was really poor.

 

I’m the type of person who flits from one thing to another but I’ve been lifting for over a year and a half and still really enjoying it. There’s always a new exercise to master or a PB to beat so I never get bored. I actually enjoy going to the gym now and especially look forward to our sessions. Even if I’m not feeling it because I’m really tired or had a busy day at work, guaranteed Ben will motivate me so I’ll always have a buzz afterwards.

 

An unexpected positive side effect is the change it’s had on my body shape. Women are worried about lifting heavy weights as they think it’ll make them look less feminine but the total opposite is true, it’s given me more shape. I’ve never liked the scrawny look so this has been a real positive for me. I’m looking to change my shape even further and with continued guidance from Ben, I have no doubt that it will continue to improve.

I was that typical individual who did a bit of exercise, Zumba, running and spin on a fairly regular basis but despite my best efforts was seeing very little progress. I spoke to DW Sports who put me in touch with one of the personal trainers who I met weekly for an hour, then they left.

I knew I wanted to continue with the personal training sessions and a friend of mine had told me about Ben and how he was helping her with her training goals. He agreed to take me on as a client – he may now be regretting that – but 18 months on I have made more progress than I would ever have achieved on my own.

Ben has taken me from an individual who just about managed to lift 40kg to someone who can now squat 90kg and deadlift 107.5kg. My confidence in my abilities has increased 10 fold and best of all I’ve noticed a change in my body shape, which has given me more confidence in how I look and feel. Plus my friends all now think I’m about to start entering bodybuilding / weightlifting competitions – I’m not but I’m determined to hit my goal of 100kg for both squats and deadlifts.

Ben has got to know me as an individual, which means he’s been able to adapt his style and approach to push me just that little bit further and get 1 or 2 more reps from me than I thought I could do. But it’s not just about me, I get to hear how his other clients are doing and how much progress they make under his guidance. For all of us to be achieving so much must say something about Ben not only as a Personal Trainer but who he is as individual?

Yes as an individual you need to put the effort in, even if it’s just for that one hour a week as I’ve been doing, but if you are thinking about starting your PT journey, want to get back on track or take your training to the next level, then I cannot recommend Ben highly enough.

I've been training with Ben for the last three years. As a woman in middle age with two young children time for fitness is precious and I need to get the maximum from that time. My aims aren't number rather keeping and if possible growing the fitness I have. Over the last few years I've been able to run a marathon and several half marathons without any injuries partly due to the increased core strength I've got through weight training. Not all PTs are equal, Ben has been able to tailor a programme that works for me. I've grown in confidence as my physical strength has increased and that strength makes everyday life so much easier. I wouldn't be as fit or healthy as I am now without that something extra from Ben's training.

I'd been a gym member for years but had never been confident enough or comfortable with going into the scary weights section. Ben helped me overcome these fears, kick butt with some heavy weights and watch my body start to transform. The burn was worth it and now i am confident enough to walk in the gym and do the workout i want to do without getting an injury or without blushing. Not to say i didn't swear at him or try hit him with the weights at times but he will keep you going and not let you give in.

Before meeting Ben, I was really underweight for a guy, 116lbs at 6'1". Starting so weak even the bar was a struggle at first. Having so little strength in my upper back had also an instability in my right shoulder which had led to a few dislocations, Ben was able to help me work around until it no longer became an issue. After my first year training, he helped me reach a much healthier weight of 181lbs. Im now two years down the line, still making progress and see weight lifting as a hobby as well as a fitness tool. Having someone as knowledgeable as Ben to focus on your programming and improving your form is of great advantage, giving me more time to focus on other aspects of my life.

Well, what can I say - Ben really knows how to get results!

I'd trained for around eight years, without seeing a vast difference in my appearance or self esteem.

I loved training but each time I entered the gym, I did so without a plan, goal or focus!

Fast forward to the present day and all of the above has changed! I look and feel more confident - I couldn't be happier!

Ben could see that I had potential, therefore he truly wanted to me to be the best version of myself that I could ever be!

Not only do I continue to have my online programming provided and analysed on a weekly basis, I regularly have one on one coaching. I'm now in the lucky position where people approach me for hints and tips for form on excersise's such as Squats.
